Carving Tools [Accessories, scroll down]
All of my carving tools are hand-forged from 1095 or 01 steel, heat treated for good edge retention and long life. I ship the blades bare, which means they are ready for your own handles – I can supply the tools with handles as well, if desired, and will gladly quote a price if needed.
Please allow two weeks before shipping-these are made entirely by hand and I ship only the best tools I’m capable of making.

Goose-neck Spoon Gouges

These are the pride of my anvil, forged in one piece of 1095 or O1 steel. While most of the tool is left blackened (oxidized) from the forging and heat-treatment processes, the exterior of the gouge’s bowl is polished to glide through wood. Sold bare, the gouge is ready for you to fit a handle of your own choosing. Note: The bevel is on the outside of the curve. 80 each plus US shipping.
